Knifehouse status update from the lands up north I.E. Vancouver B.C. after settling in at the Holiday Inn and Suites in Downtown V-town Carl and I hit up the Irish Pub on Nelson St. I had a pint of Molsen Canadian and Carl had 2 Carlsbergs. The total including tip was $23; after a brief stop at the hotel I embarked on a solo mission to W. Hastings St. to visit the local Cannabis establishments I.E. The New Amsterdam Cafe, and The Cannabis Culture Headquarters, and some random seed shop. But my stop here was short lived as I had to back track to the Top of Vancouver restaurant for dinner with my parents and a childhood friend of Mary’s. I ordered an Amber Ale brewed in Vancouver as well as a $36 Salmon fillet stuffed with shrimp and crab meat. Our friends from Canada unexpectedly covered the bill which was very nice. I then parted ways with Mary, Carl, and Andrew and made a beeline for New Amsterdam. I talked to some sketchy dudes who tried to get me to follow them to a house to buy Cannabis. I refused and decided to wait outside the Cafe for awhile. A guy with a mullet and beard wearing a backwards Vancouver Canada hat started talking to me, turns out he sold so we took a walk to the parking garage a block over where he proceeded to sell me an 8th of PK 7 for $35 dank by American standards but only fair bud by the citizens of V-town. We made our way back to the cafe and I rolled a grape White Owl blunt which I smoked with the dealer, his girlfriend, and this Guy named Mark who apparently knew him. After the blunt Mark and I stepped outside for a cigarette only to be confronted by a french speaking crack head asking for change. I gave him a dollar and Mark proceeded to tell him to get his act together in french. I then decided to make my way back to the hotel where I now sit on the bed watching Online training videos for my painting job. Tomorrow I plan to rent a bike to facilitate grist reconnaissance in V-town.
Until then Knifehouse Over and out.
